We are a large, well-established residential property management company that owns and operates a portfolio of beautiful apartment communities throughout the Richmond area. We take pride in maintaining high-quality living environments and providing exceptional service to our residents.
We’re looking for a skilled, EPA-certified HVAC Installation Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll work directly at our apartment communities, replacing and upgrading residential HVAC systems (air handlers and condensing units) that heat and cool individual units. If you're motivated, customer-focused, and want a stable Monday–Friday schedule with no after-hours emergency call, this is a fantastic opportunity.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities
- Perform two full HVAC system changeouts per day (residential air handler + condensing unit).
- Complete removal, installation, and startup processes according to best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Verify proper system operation after installation.
- Communicate effectively with management, team members, and onsite property staff.
- Work will be periodically inspected to ensure adherence to company quality standards.
- Perform work in both occupied and vacant apartment units.
- Travel between different apartment communities as needed (transportation provided from reporting location).
- Support additional related tasks as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- EPA/CFC Certification – Type II or Universal required.
- 3–5+ years of residential HVAC installation, repair, or maintenance experience.
- Ability to diagnose issues and problem-solve with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer-service mindset and positive, professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Comfortable using computers, tablets, MS Windows, Outlook, and related work-order software.
- Valid driver’s license (no restrictions) and reliable transportation to reporting location.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
- No nights, weekends, or after-hours emergency calls.
Compensation & Tools Provided
- $28–$34 per hour, based on experience.
- Company vehicle provided for daily transportation to job sites.
- Major HVAC installation equipment supplied.
